In order to support the business units across Europe, DONG IT is looking for Senior Solution Architect. Your home base will be the Netherlands or Denmark.

Job description
As Senior Solution Architect you will help strengthen the business competitiveness and business goals by proactively take responsibility for:
-The IT platform/applications in a cost effective manner, support and develop the business
-An efficient use of the overall IT platform and applications
-How IT technology and applications can contribute to the development of innovative business
-Short term and long term planning and development of solutions or the lifecycle related to a specific platform or application

Furthermore your main responsibilities and focus areas will be:

-Acquiring knowledge about the business processes and strategic direction.
-Perform tasks related to solution architecture (understand and design the framework, setup processes and data) for platforms, applications and technology within the utility business Retail and Grid business in particular.
-Ensure an updated overview of the applications and the technical architecture behind this.
-Develop and implement a best practice of architecture based on common standards in solutions of the relevant platforms and applications.
-Ensure that methods and procedures for developing and implementing solutions for the platform is aligned..
-Ensure consistency between the architecture and technology of the platform and the business needs.
-Proactively promote active knowledge sharing and sparring on the platform or application for it and business.
-Proactively ensure dialogue/experience of sparring with experts on new technology, software and their application in industry.

You will also contribute as a specialist regarding the right use of the technology and regarding technical issues within the overall platform and related interfaces for the project team and suppliers during the analysis phase and implementation phase of a project, including:
-Clarify and define requirements related to business, operational and engineering
-Defining and modeling the processes and models for data and information
-Set up an overall framework, guidelines and methodologies for application development
-Describe requirements for interfaces to other systems and partners
-Do demos and presentations

Profile
The ideal candidate knows how to work analytical and structured, has good overview and ability to prioritize. You have the ability to scan, analyse and resolve logical relationships and complex issues. You see opportunities for development through the use of new technology. You are good at working with both internal and external partners to create solutions that unite the various stakeholders' goals. Furthermore you:

-Have a high impact
-Are proactive and flexible
-Communicate well, are attentive and involved in dialogue on processes, initiatives and solutions.
-Balance deep and broad understanding and insight of the business value chain.
-Have deep insight in high level cross business processes, governance, roles and responsibilities
-Develop a professional working culture

We are looking for a candidate with at least 6 years of experience as IT solution architect within SAP IS-U and the utility companies suite of applications within sales and grid operations and:

-4+ years of experience within the utility industry.
-Deep application awareness and insight into translating the business needs and requirements into solution designs
-Extensive experience with appropriate technology tools and standards
-Procedures, tools and methodology used in connection with the area
-Higher education (Master within Computer Science, Economics, engineering direction, etc. or HD).
-Other technology course or training program (any certifying) of relevance
-Relevant management training
