Nuon IT is currently working on one of the biggest IT projects in the Netherlands: splitting up our systems efficiently and optimising them. Changing legislation and regulations in the energy market and our intention to enter into a strategic partnership with Vattenfall are giving rise to new challenges and opportunities in the IT field. Our aim is to provide the best integral solutions for our customers, now and in the future. To achieve this, the principal business software system being used is SAP.

The Operations department of our Common IT section keeps a close eye on the IT capital of our organisation, managing the SAP Basis platform, which supports all the critical Nuon business processes. The SAP Suite plays a crucial role in optimising those business processes. The SAP Basis team in Schiphol-Rijk is looking for an enthusiastic

In this job you are responsible for implementing and managing on a project basis the SAP modules chosen by Nuon, maintaining the application landscape allocated to you and pro-actively making improvements. Close cooperation with your Nuon colleagues is of prime importance in that regard. You make a significant contribution to the stability and quality of the SAP Basis platform in Nuon. There are also opportunities for progression, as a technical specialist/architect for example, or in a project management position.

You are enthusiastic and enterprising, you enjoy working as part of a team and you gain great satisfaction from managing complex environments. We also require:

• knowledge of SAP Basis and of the Oracle and Unix requirements relevant to SAP
• basic knowledge of one extra SAP component (e.g. Solution Manager or BW)
• Ability to acquire knowledge of SAP developments and IT trends, independently and pro-actively
• Ability to act independently to resolve incidents and put through changes
• Experience with working on a project basis
• Ability to take part actively in process management (e.g. incident, change or capacity process)
